The current pandemic has caused a lot of changes for the world over the past four months. Most noticeably, mixing with other people. With the exception of a weekly trip to the supermarket, a trip to the pharmacy to get my next batch of tablets and a single trip to the post office I don't think I've interacted with other people outside of the house for months now. So, with no chance of getting out and about, how could I keep occupied during the Lockdown?
The start of the Lockdown was taken up with a large lego build that I'd been holding onto for a while - the Lego Ideas 'Pirates of Barracuda Bay' set.
An amazing callback to the earlier Lego Pirates range that I built slowly over three weeks. However, once that was completed what to do to stay occupied...
...Decorating ✔️ ...Gardening ✔️ ...Repurposing rooms ✔️
Then what? To fill the gap I have planned, mapped out and begun to install lights into my modular Lego street. It isn't something that will be done quickly (if I aim for a modular building each month, then I may be done my next March). I am recording what I'm doing, and - assuming you're interested - it can be found at Project Edison.
