We've just renewed our Animoto account for school for another 180 days. I really can't fault Animoto on their service. We've been using them since early 2008, and they've never charged us a penny for what they provide.

This afternoon I had two short lessons with groups of Year 3/4 children. The sessions are timed at just 40 minutes, and I am timetabled to deliver some ICT topics.

A while ago we added the 'Epic Citadel' app to the iPads, with a view to inspiring boys to write in literacy. Yesterday I noticed a message on twitter announcing a challenge - to use the images from the app to tell a story.

Today in class one of the pupils used an iPad during our literacy work. The pupil is new to the school, has not settled in yet, and has lots of needs requiring a lot of support within lessons.

During the summer the iPads went home with members of staff, and the message from them seems to be "we love 'em". Staff commented on the ease of use, how quickly they start up, and the way they feel natural when being held.

I used an iPad in the class today, and placed it on the visualiser. This allowed me to display the iPad on the IWB. As we were in a maths lesson I loaded the 'Percy Parker' app from Sherston.

The last few days have driven me slowly mad! As I mentioned in the last post, I've changed the navigation on the website, removed all the random navigation, and put in a single, central navigation bar.
