Following the SATs at Porchester Junior School, the upper school children have been working through a short (3 week) ICT unit on game creation using 2DIY. The full details of their task can be found here on 2SImpleTalk.
Most of the children used Actionscript to enhance their games. Some chose to let their main character "fly" (just keep pressing the 'Up' button to see a character fly), some used Actionscript to create effects on the collectables, or monsters, whilst others created deviously difficult games that seem impossible (I have tested them all and they *can* be completed - maybe not the first time you try, but they can be done).
'Ninja' - your character can fly if you keep pressing the 'Up' button.
'Help Mario' - things are not always what they seem...

'Flying Hermes' - another flying game, with a great theme.
'Karate' Dare you enter the Dojo and use the teleporter?
'The Land of Stationary' - save the pencil minions from the evil scissors!
'Mario in the Clouds' - collect the stars. Now, what do those green pipes do?
'The Monster Game' - patience will be needed to complete this game
'Mario' - collect the stars in this very tricky game
'Race to Get Home' - watch out for the orbiting space ninja!
'Super Stick Man' - a deviously tricky game with moving targets and homing monsters!

Once again, a great big thank you goes to Bev Evans, whose clipart inspired the children and can be seen in many of the backgrounds, characters and elements within these games.
