I was really pleased to see a new addition to the iPad app store tonight. After a very long wait Comic Life is finally available for Apples Flagship tablet.
...or comics!? We use a great piece of software on the Windows machines at school called 'Comic Life'. It was originally only available for Macs, but now both sets of users can use it to design wonderful creations. However, Comic LIfe does have issues, and the main one is trying to add multiple images to a single 'cell' on a page.
I've spent the day painting ceilings and walls (well, it is a Bank Holiday!), but during that time my mind wandered and I found myself thinking about just how the images I've grabbed from The Sims Medieval could be used in the classroom.
I'm still ploughing through this in search of images that could be used for creative writing lessons in school. I've got some, but I'm hoping that once I've added all of the remaining buildings, I might get free reign to go wandering and get the images that I really want!
I've been sat in front of the computer cursing, typing, cursing, fuming, scratching my head, cursing, tutting and generally getting annoyed over the past 24hours. Why? Because I'm trying to make Google Apps better -and safer - for the children to use in school.
Recently my daughter bought 'Sims Medieval' - the latest in the long line of The Sims franchise from Electronic Arts (EA). I've never really paid much attention to The Sims, and don't really 'get' the idea of telling a computer character how to live their life.
