Earlier this evening I was looking at, replying to, and pondering on, the tweets that I receive through Twitter. Most of these come from other like-minded teachers, and as I read through some of those messages it suddenly hit me.
About a year ago I posted about a great site called Storybird that allowed users to create embeddable digital books with stunning artwork. At the time I thought it would be great for children to use at school.
Earlier in the week I posted how our pupils access the online services we use in school. I mentioned Google Edu Apps, Typepad and PurpleMash in particular, and how we had set up accounts so that the pupils only needed to remember one unique username and password.
I stumbled across this beautiful video on Vimeo (our school video hosts) this evening. Who needs to watch 9 hours of Star Wars now that it's been compressed so brilliantly into this 3 minute video.
Friday afternoons are a creative afternoon for the younger children at school. Our year 4's have Ukelele lessons (yes, they each have their own instrument), and the rest of lower school have singing, something arty, and something techy.
