Revert Twitter for iPhone to previous release

If you, like me, were caught out recently with the Twitter for iPhone update, and were greeted with the annoying, unwanted, obstrusive and totally irrevevant 'Clickbar', or as many on Twitter have renamed it the 'dickbar', you might be looking for a way to get rid of it.

The BETT show is over for another year, everyone has packed up and gone home. The companies have put their stands away, and things have returned to normal.

Prizes that change lives

Just before Christmas Typepad, my blog hosts (and the school website host too), launched a competition and asked users for their own experience of helping others through charitable donations. I left a comment regarding the Kiva.org website and how I use that to make [small] donations to others that can help make big changes to their lives.

Today I've been out on a trip with my class, and the other year 3/4 classes in school. Now there is nothing special in that. Schools run trips all the time. We run visits frequently. So, why am I writing about it?

Today I was teaching two Yr5/6 classes during the afternoon in the ICT suite. In the second lesson one of the pupils was a girl who had been in my class when she was in Yr3.

Pain has a new name

Pain has a new name. It is called a "floating rib". I'd never heard of this anatomical term until this morning. But now, I know it well. I know it very well.
