A while back I noticed that the wiper stalk was not working as it should. When I pull the stalk down and release it, it should complete a single sweep of the wipers across the window, but for a while it was only working whilst the stalk was held down constantly. This meant that often I would flick the stalk down and release only to find the wipers sitting across my line of vision, unwilling to move until I held the stalk down to complete their sweep.
However, about a month after this began it suddenly stopped doing it, and reverted to the automatic sweep it was supposed to. It had healed itself.
The second episode has been more recent. For a while now, the main headlight of the drivers side has been out. I've tried to change it, but getting into the lightbox of a Ford Focus is a nightmare - ask anyone who owns one! Well, last week not only did the main beam on the drivers side fail, but the sidelight did too, meaning that there was no light at all on one side of the car. I was all ready to take it to a garage and pay for the repair, but the following afternoon when I flicked the lights on, not only did the sidelights on both sides work, but both main beams kicked into life too. Yet again, the car had healed itself.
That's why I'm now convinced I have the worlds first self healing car. Should be worth a fortune when I come to sell it.
