Today is my last day of the Christmas holiday. I know that most people have gone back to their schools today but for some strange reason I have yet to fathom out Nottinghamshire County and Nottingham City schools are closed today.
As the weather has been so nice today (clear blue skies) I went for a wander. I thought I'd walk down to the local marina, and then back again to get some air, exercise my heart, enjoy the weather, etc, etc. But it turned into a bit more than that. Once at the marina I continued walking along the canal / river path. Without realising it I had soon come to a fork in the path giving me two routes around Attenborough Nature Reserve.
And so there I was, miles from home, walking around a Nature Reserve on a clear, crisp, bleak winters day. I did not have my camera with me as I wasn't expecting to take any pictures, but did have my iPhone and managed to grab a couple of low-resolution photos.
I like the bleakness of the first photo, but also the ice captured logs on the second photo. I was also surprised with the quality of these images from the iPhone.
