In one of the upper school classes today, the children were working on presentations about "The Plastic Ocean" as part of their eco-schools work.
In the hour that they had, they created their presentations in GDocs, grabbed and used their images from the school server / KidRex search facility, dropped it into their presentation, saved it, published it and (in some cases) embedded the presentation into their learning spaces. All this, after starting on this new LP only a few weeks ago. They really are taking to it brilliantly, and so are the staff too. This lesson was overseen by one of our senior TA's, who at the end of the lesson was beaming as she told me how many had embedded the presentation (a month ago she had no idea about "embedding a presentation")
