So, Halloween is fast approaching and I was looking through my iTunes back catalogue for suitable songs to make a "Halloween playlist" that I could put on in class to get the children in the mood for Halloween events.
These are the songs I found on my computer, some chosen for their lyrics, some chosen for their titles, some very poppy, some very rocky, others just plain bizzare or scary!
- Bat out of Hell (Meatloaf)
- Better the devil you know (Steps)
- Buffy Theme (Nerf Herder)
- The Devil you know (Face to Face)
- Disco Inferno (The Tramps)
- Doin' the Zombie (Chubby Checker)
- Ghost Town (The Specials)
- Ghostbusters (Ray Parker Junior)
- Halloween (Aqua)
- I put a spell on you (Nina Simone)
- Little Drop of Poision (Tom Waits)
- Monster (The Automatic)
- Monster Mash (Bobby 'Boris' Pickett)
- Mr Death (Mike Tramp)
- People Are Strange (Echo and the Bunnymen)
- Poison (Alice Cooper)
- Skeletons In My Closet (from "The 7th Guest" video game)
- Somebody's Watching Me (Rockwell)
- Things That Go Bump In The Night (Allstars)
- This Is Halloween (The Citizens of Halloween from "The Nightmare Before Christmas")
- Thriller (Michael Jackson)
- The Time Warp (Richard O'Brien)
- Welcome To My Nightmare (Alice Cooper)
- Werewolves of London (Warren Zevon)
Now I know there are more, so if you've got a great suggestion for a Halloween style song (that can be played in the classroom) please leave a comment below...
