Don't you just hate it when someone can't do the most simple part of their job, and as a result it puts you out ? I do! It happened to me today with City Link delivery service, so I've decided to send them a message about it, rather than ignore it;
"I have to say that I believe your delivery service is awful. I had an attempted parcel delivery yesterday (Tuesday 7th) and a note left through the door. Today I have taken time off work to travel to my local collection depot (a fair distance away), only to find that the parcel is not at the depot as it is being re-delivered to me.
The card that was pushed through my door did not have a tick in the "we will deliver again tomorrow" box, so I therefore assumed that redelivery wouldn't happen. In fact the card had NO tick in ANY box telling me what was happening to my parcel. I'd like to thank "Mick" the driver on route 306 for not bothering to tick a box informing me of what you were doing with my parcel.
I am now unable to collect the parcel until the weekend as I cannot make the journey again during work time (you try taking a second afternoon off to collect a parcel you went to collect the day before).
Maybe you could set aside some time for staff training, in order to show your drivers just how to put a tick in a box so that customers are aware of what is happening with their parcels, and know whether or not to take time off work to travel to your depot. Surely it's not that hard to put a mark on a piece of paper.
So much for ordering using "express" delivery. I am also going to send this message to Amazon so that they are aware of how their customers are treated"
Can you tell I'm annoyed?
