School was closed again today - enforced due to the sudden deluge of snow that fell in the early hours making travelling impossible - and so I had time to do other things.
I built a snowman (well, snowcat!) with the wife, went to the local pub for a late breakfast, made some changes to the centenary section of the school website, and then got into a long discussion - carried out over the web - about Fronter, with an ICT consultant who was (at the time) in a Fronter training meeting. He seemed to share my views on the use of it in school, and was making the same comment to the trainer I can see myself asking when we start our training; "I can do that with our blog/wiki".
The only positives that I got out of the discussion was that it does have potential for being useful if lots of schools collaborate (that's a big IF though) and that early adopters are having the chance to make it more user friendly before it hits the rest of us.
Time will tell once we start our training...
