I've just come across a virtual church where you can take part in a service. I paid it a quick visit today and unfortunately it was full with some rather dubious worshippers who seemed to be doing nothing but wanting to shout abuse at each other, however just think how useful it could be.
It leads onto allsorts of other virtual online places
- the virtual shop has already appeared of course, take Sainsburys or Adsa with their online ordering as just two of many out there,
- virtual newspapers, for example like The Times,
- virtual healthcare like NHS direct where you can work out what is wrong with you, or else ask one of their doctors or nurses to diagnose you within 5 days.
- virtual pubs that will deliver the drink you need, and of course the pizza as well.
Oh, and how do you pay for all this? you visit your online banking page of course! (too many to list)
Sorted then. And with a job spent working at home on your computer, using email to save going to the post box, you never need to actually leave your house anymore.
Well for one thing only - school, so how long will it be before we see the 'virtual school'.
